The Wait That Started It All

Every city teaches you patience, whether you ask for it or not. Somewhere between the second red light and the third, between the honking and the heat, an idea was born — not in a boardroom, but on a scooter, stuck at a signal, watching a hundred strangers wait for the same sixty seconds to pass.

That idea became Traffic Thehraav: a small, warm interruption in the middle of the wait. We bring beverages and drinks straight to people at traffic signals — a cold sip on a hot afternoon, a hot cup on a cold morning — so that even the most ordinary pause in someone's day can feel like a moment cared for, rather than a moment lost.

My Story

I hold an MBA in International Business from IITTM, Gwalior, and I spent my early career deep in the world of people — working in HR and people relationships at HCL Tech and a handful of ambitious startups. Years of sitting across the table from people going through their best days and their hardest ones taught me something simple: people don't just need service, they need to feel seen.

A traffic signal, oddly enough, is one of the few places where all of us — no matter who we are — are made to stop, together, for the same reason. I wanted to turn that shared pause into something gentle. That is where Traffic Thehraav was born.

The Journey

There is a version of this story that fits neatly on a business card — MBA, corporate HR career, founder. But the real story is longer, and harder, and it was walked mostly alone. Life did not go easy on me. I have stood at the kind of crossroads where there was no one beside me to make the decision easier, no shoulder to quietly lean on, and I had to become, all at once, the provider, the protector, and the parent — for myself, and for my daughter.

Being a mother is not a chapter of my life, it is the frame around all of it. Every job I took, every late night, every hard conversation I had to have alone — all of it was in service of one promise I made quietly to myself: that my daughter would never feel the weight of what I was carrying. I built this company with the same hands that packed her lunch, checked her homework, and held everything together on the days I did not know how I would.

I will not pretend it was graceful. There were years of struggle that no MBA prepares you for. But I kept choosing, every single day, to try and raise her into a better human being than the world sometimes gave me reason to believe in. That is the only achievement I have ever truly been proud of.

For My Mother, Usha Sharma

This idea did not begin with me. It began with Usha Sharma — my mother, and the person who first taught me to notice the small, overlooked moments in life and turn them into something meaningful. She had a way of finding warmth in the most ordinary pauses of a day, and it is her voice I still hear whenever I think about what this company should feel like.

Maa, I miss you every single day. This company carries your idea, your kindness, and your name in every cup we hand out at every signal, in every city we reach. I love you more than these words will ever say, and I hope, wherever you are, you can see what your one small thought has become. This one is for you.

For My Daughter, Noor

And to Noor — my daughter, my reason, my whole heart. You have watched me build this from nothing, on the days I was tired and the days I was afraid, and you never once let me believe I was doing it alone. Your brown eyes have a way of looking at me, in the middle of my hardest moments, and saying without a single word: Maa, you can do this. I do not know if you will ever understand how much strength I have borrowed from that look.

Everything I have fought for — every struggle I did not let you see, every sacrifice I never spoke of — was so that you could grow up knowing what it looks like when a woman refuses to give up. I am not just trying to build a company for you to inherit one day. I am trying, every single day, to raise you into a good, strong, kind human being. That will always be the only success that matters more to me than this business ever could.

Noor, thank you for being the quiet courage behind everything I do. This is for you too.
